Czech partner IREAS and Hungarian partner IMRO (together with a Slovak partner) created new handbook for water education. Drought and water management are experienced as very strong issues these days. The awareness about the topic of water management is rising (mainly in the media). However, there is still lack of active citizens’ involvement. This could be supported by early water education at primary schools. In order to contribute to this education they have created practical handbook for teachers including dozens of activities that are designed for direct use in the classroom. It contains three main topics: 1) Water in household; 2) Water in landscape and 3) Water in cities.
Publication of this Handbook is part of the project Water Agent V 003 (No. 21810017). The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
